Tire Reviews F.R.O.
For. Racing. Only.
Here at Mud Club, we are a group of privateer racers who purchase tires with our own hard earned cash. We don’t have sponsorships, we don’t have brand loyalties. We vote with our wallets and we only look at results. We don’t wax poetically about rolling resistance and suppleness. We discuss the limits of MTB tires through the lens of motorsport and competition racing. We don’t give a fuck about your feelings. FOR RACING ONLY.
As I sit here trying to figure out how to write about tires, I realize that it is a difficult subject to approach without scientific data backing up our claims. Therefore, these reviews will be entirely subjective, with descriptions of feel and handling behavior according to our own pontification.
There is subjective bias considering our perspectives as XC racers. I have decided to break up the review into segments via tire pressure. I shall provide my thoughts and describe certain handling characteristics about how the tire behaves at each range of pressures.
