The 2022 Mount Diablo Hillclimb Challenge was a riot! This was the first time I was able to have several friends join me at the start line of a race. Normally it’s just Racer H and I, and we are usually not in the same starting group.

I started in the 7th or 8th wave of riders ascending the mountain. The vibe of the competition was on fire! Being able to pick up my race number the day before at the Alamo Trek store was a huge bonus as well. it meant that I was already prepped, packed, and ready to go the night before.
